NIO's third-generation ES8 large electric SUV will reach its 160,000th delivery this week, the company's user-operations chief said on October 19, thirteen months after the model launched on September 20, 2025. The cumulative tally stood at 150,000 units at the one-year mark, meaning the most recent 10,000 deliveries took only about a month.
The ES8 delivered 10,546 units in September, its third straight month above 10,000, accounting for 49.5 percent of NIO brand deliveries that month, according to CPCA data cited by industry media. Together with the flagship ES9, the two large SUVs contributed 85.6 percent of the NIO brand's September volume, making the segment the absolute pillar of the company's sales structure.
Monthly new orders for the ES8 have stabilized in the 12,000-13,000 range, industry data show, and the model ranks near the top of residual-value lists for NEV SUVs above 350,000 yuan. A five-seat version launched in July starting at 382,800 yuan — or 274,800 yuan under the BaaS battery-rental plan — has further widened its customer base.
