As heatwaves sweep many parts of the world, cooling products from Yiwu are selling briskly overseas. From ice-feel towels and neck or waist fans to mini ice makers and portable air conditioners, Yiwu's small-commodity cluster is meeting surging global demand.
Data show that in the first five months of 2026 Yiwu's electric fan exports reached 2.11 billion yuan, up 20.9% year-on-year, with orders from Europe up at least 30%. Exports of small ice makers to Europe rose more than 70% over the same period. Many factories are running around the clock to keep up with orders booked into August.
