A pioneering reform allowing market-procurement export cosmetics to be declared and inspected at the place of purchase in Yiwu has completed its first year. Over the past 12 months, 1,746 declarations of market-procurement cosmetics were filed, with a total value exceeding 600 million yuan.
The reform lets color cosmetics produced across China be consolidated and exported from Yiwu under a one declaration, one inspection, fast release model. It cut clearance time by 57.2% and saved about 5,000 yuan per shipment, helping nearly 2,000 small beauty merchants expand into overseas markets.
