Xiaomi disclosed two fresh robotics deployment milestones during the 2026 World Internet Conference, Interface News reported on November 3. In the factory scenario, a Xiaomi humanoid robot took on an eight-hour task at a center-console cover sorting station, meeting the station's full-day production demand while achieving autonomous error correction and production-line system coordination, a first validation of line-level operation capability.
In the home scenario, Xiaomi's embodied foundation model began a trial run at the Xiaomi Youth Apartment, building an agent system on the Xiaomi-Robotics-1 pre-trained model that completed a long-horizon task lasting over 30 minutes across three rooms with more than 50 subtasks. The company also received a Wuzhen "Leading Science and Technology Award" for its robotics work.
The two cases show Xiaomi pushing humanoid robots from demonstration toward real, sustained work in both industrial and residential settings, reflecting a broader industry shift from "can it be built" to "can it actually take a job."
