Ningbo Customs has introduced 12 measures to promote cross-border e-commerce exports, with its "inspect first, load later" model raising logistics turnover efficiency by more than 50%, the November 4 Foreign Trade Morning Brief reported. The steps are designed to smooth the flow of small-parcel exports through comprehensive bonded zones.
The package supports the broader Yangtze River Delta cross-border ecosystem that Yiwu sellers rely on, shortening the time goods spend in customs processing and letting merchants respond faster to overseas orders. Combined with the region's dense consolidation-warehouse and shipping links, the measures help lower operating cost for small and micro exporters.
As European and other markets tighten low-value parcel rules, such efficiency gains at the customs front have become a practical buffer for Yiwu's cross-border community, which depends on fast, compliant fulfillment to stay competitive.
