Coverage from the Digital China Summit on October 28 highlighted new progress in China's computing-power network: as of June, the country had 15.56 million standard racks in use, and its intelligent-computing scale ranked second in the world. A batch of computing projects advanced this year, accelerating the weaving of the national computing grid.
Among the "six networks," the computing network is the foundational support for AI development. The eight major computing hubs are each leveraging their strengths, moving from scenario explosion to global delivery as humanoid robots face a "mass-production test," and from pilot results to production lines.
The reporting also noted green, coordinated and full-chain upgrades across China's computing industry, the establishment of the National Data Group to build an integrated national data market, and MIIT's push for "AI + manufacturing" to empower new-type industrialization. Data-resource development campaigns will target 10 industries.
The figures underscore how China is building the算力 substrate — scale, green power and coordination — that underpins both model training and AI-industrial deployment.
