China Economic Net reported on October 28 that Zhejiang China Commodity City's emerging businesses achieved high growth. In the first three quarters, the Chinagoods digital foreign-trade service platform added over 580,000 registered buyers, bringing the cumulative total to over 6.08 million; the "World Yiwu" trade large-model app added over 20,000 users to a cumulative 70,000; and 16 new AI applications such as "Data Insight," "E-commerce Connect" and "AR Space" were added, reaching 30 cumulative applications serving over 316,000 users.
The company's cross-border payment business, Yiwu Pay, processed over $7.510 billion in transactions in the first three quarters, up 98% year on year, signaling it has moved beyond early cultivation into releasing scale effects. The Global Digital Trade Center is operating smoothly, with its 410,000 square meters and 5,200 booths fully leased and record-high foot traffic.
Chairman Chen Dezhan said digital trade and cross-border payment are showing increasing synergy, strengthening the support for market transformation and merchants' "going global." The next step is to refine the digital-trade ecosystem and help market players expand global trade.
The results show how a traditional market operator is converting foot traffic into digital, financial and AI-enabled trade infrastructure.
