On October 26, Denza — BYD's premium sub-brand — opened pre-orders for the N8, a large five-seat pure-electric SUV, ahead of its formal November launch, the Auto Morning Brief reported. The model measures 5,150 mm long with a 3,075 mm wheelbase and uses BYD's second-generation Blade Battery with flash-charging technology.
The N8 offers a maximum pure-electric range of 1,003 km and comes in single-motor, high-performance and tri-motor variants, covering both efficiency and performance buyers. The opening of pre-orders came the same day as a wave of new-model activity across the industry.
Elsewhere in BYD's lineup, the second-generation Seal 07 also began blind pre-orders as a C-segment family sedan with a 2,960 mm wheelbase targeting the large-space household market, while the Wey Gaoshan 8 HEV launched at an introductory price from 259,800 yuan with a 2.0T hybrid all-wheel-drive system.
The cluster of launches shows premium and mainstream NEV makers racing to refresh products and capture year-end demand.
