A private-placement research note disclosed on October 26 that Zhejiang China Commodity City shared key operating data in an October 23 call: from January to August, Yiwu's imports and exports reached 636.4 billion yuan, up 14.8% year on year, with exports of 548.85 billion yuan, up 12.8%, a record high. The third-quarter export slowdown reflected U.S. new Section 301 tariff filing transition and a typhoon-related port closure.
Cross-border transactions via YiwuPay reached $7.510 billion in the first nine months, up over 98% year on year. The Global Digital Trade Center's 410,000-square-meter space with 5,200 booths is fully leased with record foot traffic; 30 AI applications have been deployed with over 70,000 users. The firm's brand-going-global layout covers 103 projects, with Dubai market occupancy rising under an asset-light co-build model.
September saw 62,500 foreign arrivals, up 1.1% month on month; Yiwu's EU export share is modest, with only Germany in the top 20. The U.S.–China tariff-cut talks cover categories such as toys and home appliances, favorable to Yiwu.
The figures highlight how Yiwu is evolving from a physical market into a digital, cross-border and brand-export platform.
