On September 4, 2026, Xiaomi Auto announced a strategic cooperation around its "Dragon Armor" (Longjia) battery with CALB and Sunwoda Power, deepening both its product and supply-chain layout.
The Dragon Armor battery is a power-battery system solution led by Xiaomi Auto. In R&D and production, Xiaomi defines the product, leads pack design and development, takes part in cell design, and exercises full-process quality control over manufacturing. The battery will be equipped on the Pengcheng series, whose new models are scheduled for release on September 7.
Separately on September 4, Sunwoda said its subsidiary Sunwoda Power plans an equity expansion bringing in Li Auto, which will invest 2.65 billion yuan for 1.4 billion yuan of new registered capital, a 8.79% stake, with both sides to collaborate more deeply on power-battery R&D, manufacturing and quality management.
