Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled the Ioniq 9, its flagship three-row all-electric SUV designed specifically for the North American market, at a special event in Los Angeles. The Ioniq 9 is built on Hyundai's E-GMP platform and offers seating for up to seven passengers across three rows. Two powertrain options are available at launch: a single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant producing 160 kW, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant delivering 320 kW. The 110.3 kWh battery pack enables an EPA-estimated range of up to 540 km for the RWD model. The vehicle supports 800V ultra-fast charging, adding approximately 200 km of range in just 15 minutes. Inside, the Ioniq 9 features a 12.3-inch dual-screen dashboard, ambient interior lighting with 64 colors, and available Relaxation Seats in the first and second rows. North American market deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026, with pricing starting at USD 52,000.
