On September 23, NIO officially announced the delivery of its 30,000th ES9, achieved in just 119 days, continuously rewriting the delivery record for China's 500,000-yuan-class high-end pure-electric vehicles.
Data from August for the Yangtze River Delta's 500,000-yuan vehicle market show the NIO ES9 alone held a 24% market share — roughly one in every four vehicles sold in that price bracket was an ES9.
The milestone underscores how Chinese premium EV brands are gaining ground in the high-end segment long dominated by foreign marques, helped by rapid product iteration and an expanding charging and service network.
