Tesla reported on October 2, 2026 that it produced 464,391 vehicles and delivered 486,532 in the third quarter, ahead of the StreetAccount consensus of about 461,100 and the company's own compiled estimate of 461,974. Deliveries were still about 2% below the 497,099 recorded a year earlier, a quarter inflated by a buying rush before the U.S. federal tax credit expired. The Model 3 and Model Y carried the result with 478,237 deliveries, while all other models added 8,295. Tesla also deployed 13.7 GWh of energy-storage products, short of the 15.9 GWh analyst consensus. The quarter marked Tesla's strongest since the tax credit ended, suggesting demand can hold without subsidies when fuel prices are high. The company will publish full earnings after the U.S. market close on October 21.
