A coalition of US and Emirati technology companies has broken ground on the first Stargate artificial-intelligence campus outside the United States. Announced on 28 October 2026, Stargate UAE is a 1-gigawatt compute cluster sited within a new 5-gigawatt UAE-US AI Campus in Abu Dhabi, spanning roughly 10 square miles and described as the largest AI data-center complex outside America. The partners - G42, OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank Group and Cisco - say the first 200-megawatt phase is expected to go live in 2026. NVIDIA will supply its Grace Blackwell GB300 systems, Oracle will operate AI-optimised cloud, and Cisco provides zero-trust security. The site is designed to run on nuclear, solar and natural gas. The project was unveiled under the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership during a state visit and could allow the UAE to import up to 500,000 advanced NVIDIA chips per year.
