The reward tiers cover every level from vocational college to graduate school.

The reward tiers cover every level from vocational college to graduate school. Specifically, students admitted to domestic full-time master's programs receive 25,000 yuan each; for the college entrance exam, students admitted to Project 985 universities get 20,000 yuan, those admitted to Project 211 universities or scoring above 546 (history track) / 539 (physics track) get 12,000 yuan, those admitted to undergraduate programs get 8,000 yuan, and those admitted to vocational colleges get 5,000 yuan; for the high school entrance exam, students above the first-tier line of 712 get 10,000 yuan, above the second-tier 672 get 6,500 yuan, above the third-tier 632 get 5,000 yuan, and above the fourth-to-sixth tiers of 512 get 3,000 yuan.

The policy, launched in 2019, initially covered only college-entrance-exam students and was gradually expanded. In 2023 it extended to graduate students and doctoral candidates, and in 2024 it first brought high-school-entrance-exam students into the reward scope. This year the high-school reward threshold was adjusted to the sixth-tier score line, with refined standards. The plan is drawn up by the village collective economic organization, executed after review and public notice by the villagers' congress, and funded entirely by the village collective's operating income — not relying on fiscal allocations or social fundraising.

At the commendation meeting, many villagers came to witness. Li Nuotong, admitted to South China Normal University for graduate study, said the reward is not only material support but also a spiritual driving force, encouraging students to keep their upward momentum. Parent Ms. Li believes a learning attitude still comes first and the reward is just the icing on the cake. The event combined clan culture with study incentives, sparking online discussion.
