2026-08-12 CAAM / General Administration China Supply Info10

China exported 1.135 million NEVs to Belt and Road countries in the first half of 2026, up 59.4% year-on-year, according to CAAM data compiled from Customs figures.

Data compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) from the General Administration of Customs show that in the first half of 2026, China's automobile exports to Belt and Road partner countries reached USD 83.67 billion, up 30.8% year-on-year, accounting for 57.5% of the country's total auto export value.

Vehicle exports totaled 3.381 million units, a 48.1% increase, of which new energy vehicles (NEVs) reached 1.135 million units, up 59.4% year-on-year. The strong growth underscores the rapid overseas expansion of Chinese EV makers, who are leveraging regional trade dividends and diversified global layouts to spread single-market risk.
