According to CPCA data released on August 11, China's July passenger car exports (including complete vehicles and CKD) reached 918,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 87.8% and a month-on-month increase of 4.9%, accounting for 41% of manufacturers' total sales.
New energy passenger vehicle exports hit 540,000 units in July, surging 147.8% year-on-year and growing 8.1% month-on-month, accounting for 58.8% of total passenger car exports - a 14 percentage point increase from the same period last year.
Pure electric vehicles accounted for 59.5% of NEV exports, down from 65.1% in the same period last year, indicating that hybrid models are gaining increasing acceptance in overseas markets.
The continued high growth in automobile exports, with new energy vehicles as the primary driver, demonstrates that overseas expansion has become a core strategy for Chinese automakers to offset domestic competition and open new growth corridors.
