China's first AI-service street has opened in Shenzhen's Longgang district, offering a complete industry chain from showcase and experience to rental, customization and prototyping, CCTV reported on October 29.
A robot 6S store - extending the traditional 4S model with leasing and personalized customization - rents dozens of robot types, from robot dogs to guide robots, with leases starting at about 1,000 yuan, while a neighboring robot-parts supermarket stocks reducers, servo motors, controllers and sensors from more than 60 component firms like everyday goods.
Steps away, the world's first AI 6S store spans 516 square meters with more than 400 AI-hardware products from over 150 enterprises, realizing a 'one idea in, one product out' loop with prototyping in as fast as 48 hours.
The report noted that in the first half of 2026 China's humanoid-robot whole-machine product count exceeded 400 and output surpassed 40,000 units, with full-year output expected to top 100,000, illustrating how embodied-AI commercialization is moving from demo to delivery.
