From October 24 to 25, the 2026 Changsha 1024 Programmer's Day and AI Builders Conference was held at World Computing·Changsha Smart Valley under the theme "Embodied Together, Building the Future," China News Service reported on October 26. The event combined a main conference, three forums and four builder sessions as a platform for idea exchange, tech commercialization and industry ecology.
The opening "Tech Heroes" session featured industry executives and experts discussing "embodied intelligence empowering new-quality productivity" and "developer dividends in the silicon era," as well as AI office tools. A concurrent expo let developers try cutting-edge AI tools hands-on; outside, Huawei Compute Code Labs and an open-mic drew coders, while Lingxin Qiaoshou's robot band performed and an Ecovacs robot patrolled the floor.
A synchronized "Beijing–Changsha Embodied Intelligence Summit" gathered over 20 Beijing and Changsha embodied-intelligence firms and universities for deep dialogue on technology and industrial coordination — continuing the event's signature Beijing–Hunan AI linkage.
This marks the seventh year the 1024 Programmer's Day has landed in Hunan's Xiangjiang New Area, which clusters over half of the province's key software and AI firms and more than 200,000 software and IT talents, strengthening Changsha's AI industry base.
