The National Business Daily reports that a new Goldman Sachs report, 'China Industrial Tech: Going Global 3.0 - China's AI Industrialization Era,' argues Chinese companies have moved past two earlier stages of globalization into a 'Going Global 3.0' phase.
Unlike previous waves built on low-cost manufacturing or brand exports, the core of Going Global 3.0 is the export of AI-enabled, technology-intensive industrial capability. At the expo, Unitree, Rokid and DiWei stepped up overseas expansion, while Chuanhua Group - a 40-year-old private firm - declared an AI strategy to rebuild its business model around industrial AI.
Alibaba's CEO said the three pillars of the 'machine intelligence' era are AI models, AI chips and AI cloud. The report also flags new globalization challenges - compliance, localization and multi-currency settlement - that technology-driven exporters must now solve.
