Xinhua reports that at the fifth Global Digital Trade Expo, held Sept 23-27 in Hangzhou, AI has moved from concept to application - embedded in robots, drones and exoskeletons and empowering cross-border e-commerce and digital entertainment - with overseas buyers eager to seize fresh cooperation opportunities.
On the show floor, Tuya's AI home-companion robot drew attention for its fall-detection and video-call features for the elderly; Rokid's second-generation AI glasses drew queues of testers for real-time translation, photography and navigation. A Pakistani buyer immediately asked for the company's contact details to explore cooperation.
Beyond hardware, AI is reshaping digital scenarios: Alibaba's Accio Work lets merchants assign roles to agents that automate market research, marketing and daily operations. Buyers from Russia, Bangladesh and South Africa said China has turned AI into real-life applications they cannot find elsewhere.
