The plan, compiled and issued by MIIT together with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Commerce and other departments, sets the goal that by 2030 China's ICV & NEV full industry chain will further consolidate its advantages and the country will enter the ranks of the world's leading auto powers.
By 2030, NEVs are to account for 70% of new passenger-vehicle sales and 40% of new commercial-vehicle sales in the domestic market, and vehicles with autonomous-driving functions are to achieve scaled application.
For the 15th FYP, MIIT will focus on three priorities: deepening global supply-chain and industrial-chain cooperation; advancing deeper international coordination on standards and regulations, contributing Chinese solutions to global rules for autonomous driving and EVs; and guiding enterprises to expand overseas in a steady and orderly way, with stronger cross-border logistics, investment and financing support and better compliance and risk prevention.
