Shaanxi Province has issued a subsidy scheme for high-power electric vehicle charging facility construction, covering projects completed and put into commercial operation between 2026 and 2027.
The provincial government will provide financial subsidies through industrial coordination funds for public high-power charging facilities, including those supporting battery swap stations. The policy aims to accelerate the deployment of ultra-fast charging networks and address range anxiety among EV owners.
According to local authorities, the subsidies will reduce construction costs for operators and help build a more comprehensive charging infrastructure across the province. This is expected to further unlock new energy vehicle consumption potential in western China.
The move aligns with national targets for charging infrastructure expansion, including county-level charging station coverage under China's 15th Five-Year Plan for smart connected new energy vehicles.
