Hyundai Motor Group has announced the largest product expansion plan in its history, pledging to launch more than 100 new and refreshed models by 2030.
CEO Jose Munoz unveiled the plan at the CEO Investor Day held in Seoul. The rollout prioritizes the United States market with 58 new models, followed by Europe with 41, India with 26, and China with 22. Some models will be launched simultaneously across regions.
Within the next eight months, seven new models will debut, including the all-new fourth-generation Tucson mid-size SUV and its hybrid version, the new IONIQ 3 compact electric vehicle, and Hyundai's first Santa Fe extended-range electric vehicle.
Hyundai has classified extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) technology within its electrification lineup. By 2030, the group targets 5.55 million in global sales, with electrified models, including hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and pure electrics, reaching 3.3 million units.
To support this ambition, Hyundai plans to add approximately 1.27 million units of annual production capacity globally by 2030, including 500,000 in North America, 320,000 in India, and 200,000 in South Korea.
A new electric vehicle dedicated plant in Ulsan, South Korea, can produce up to 12 electric models with an annual capacity of 200,000 units, serving as the core manufacturing base for Hyundai's electrification transformation.
