In a 7-vs-7 exhibition match at the National Speed Skating Hall ('Ice Ribbon'), a robot took a free kick, curling the ball around the wall into the top corner to score. After the goal, the robot jumped on the spot, spun in the air, and landed with arms outstretched, smoothly performing Cristiano Ronaldo's signature 'Siu' move, with teammates joining the celebration. In another match, a robot's shot speed reached 64 km/h, and a penalty kick could even spike to 130 km/h.
The robot uses a whole-body force-control structure that can precisely replicate the airborne spin of 'Siu' with an error of no more than 2 cm. In joint design, high-precision servo motors and quasi-direct-drive joint modules achieve frame-level posture control; a single motor's peak torque reaches 45 N·m, and the landing impact force is only 30% of comparable robots. The match ran entirely on the robot's autonomous operation, using cameras and sensor vision scanning to complete shooting and celebration without manual control.
Ronaldo has repeatedly challenged a high-performance robot goalkeeper designed by a former NASA engineer, equipped with 22 infrared cameras capturing the ball's position 500 times per second — extremely fast reactions. At first several shots were stopped by the robot, and once a shot even damaged it, but eventually Ronaldo found the flaw and scored into the corner with a low shot, demonstrating a human star's technical insight. This offensive-defense duel not only verified the robot goalkeeper's superb save ability but also showed the limits of humanoid robots in dynamic balance and perception-decision making.
