At the opening ceremony, the robot showed "faster, higher and stronger" sports performance, winning the admiration of the live audience. The 100-meter preliminaries were the first event of the Games. After the firing of the gun, the "Glory Lightning" robot athletes of the Tianzhuo team took the lead and finally broke the human 100-meter world record of 9.58 held by Bolt with a score of 9.39 seconds, and broke the previous competition record.
In the high jump project display, the Tiangong Ultra robot jumped out of the height of 2.8843 meters, breaking the human man's high jump world record of 2.45 meters. Former national football player Yang Chen competed with the robot for shooting speed, and Yang Chen won at a speed of 85 km/h, while the robot athlete achieved a score of 69 km/h.
Robot athletes outperformed world-class athletes in multiple events. When Zheng Jie, the tennis double world champion, played against the Galaxy Star Robot, the robot's flexible pace and quick response won the audience's applause. When table tennis world champion Ding Ning plays against the robot, the robot can accurately identify her ball path and return the ball steadily. Martial arts athlete Xiaolong Xie teaches free-fighting athletes "Whirlwind Legs" on the spot, a new entry that has attracted a lot of attention.
