The 32nd China Yiwu International Small Commodities Fair opened on October 21 at the Yiwu International Expo Center, drawing 69,240 buyer visits on its first day — up 14.84% year on year — including 10,079 overseas buyers, up 8.37%, Yiwu Daily reported on October 22.
The fair spans about 110,000 square meters across nine indoor halls plus corridor and outdoor zones, with 2,770 exhibitors from 20 provinces and cities and 4,545 international-standard booths. A new outdoor daily-consumables zone adds 515 booths, pushing that single segment past 1,800 booths, up 36.67% from the previous edition, while integrated move-in-ready booth services lifted the special-decoration rate to 44.51%.
New products drew lively negotiation: a custom-tunable speaker lets buyers turn a knob to shape treble and bass; an 8-head 3D printer and DIY wooden assembly toys drew crowds. "This is the first time I've come to Yiwu; I'll definitely leave with a full load," said Sandra, a Colombian buyer planning about $50,000 of daily goods and stable supply channels.
More than 100 South American buyers arrived by charter flight for the opening, many first-timers focused on electronics, hardware tools, textiles and daily necessities. The fair expects over 180,000 visits in four days, including more than 10,000 foreigners, with added procurement delegations from the Middle East, ASEAN, Africa and South America.
