The 32nd China Yiwu International Small Commodity Fair opened in Yiwu on Oct 21, running four days with more than 4,500 international-standard booths and 2,770 exhibitors from across China, and an expected 180,000 buyers including over 10,000 overseas visitors. The 'World Supermarket' continues to connect global markets with higher-quality Chinese manufacturing.
Tariff-cut dividend revives reorders. Unlike past years when the European and American festive-goods ordering peak came in summer, 2026 shipments stayed strong into October. After the US and China reached consensus on $30 billion in reciprocal tariff cuts in late September, US clients' purchasing confidence rebounded and repeat orders kept coming.
Smart festive new products break overseas. Yiwu's 2026 festive range upgraded: Christmas ornaments and decorations gained sound-and-light sensing; AI Christmas trees, AI Santas, AI voice-recording cards, bionic butterflies and dancing robots debuted in the market. A Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center merchant noted AI glasses' single-day peak shipments exceeded 100 units, with customer growth above 30% in the first three quarters.
Yiwu Customs data show the city's foreign-trade exports reached 548.85 billion yuan in January-August, up 12.8% year on year, with Christmas-goods exports to Latin America, the EU and ASEAN totaling 3.23 billion yuan — 67.9% of all such exports.
