CCTV Finance, citing Yiwu Customs, reports that in the first eight months of 2026 Yiwu's foreign-trade exports reached 548.85 billion yuan, up 12.8% year on year, underscoring the resilience of China's grassroots foreign trade even as global demand fluctuates.
Christmas goods remain a pillar: exports to Latin America, the EU and ASEAN totaled 3.23 billion yuan in the period, accounting for 67.9% of all Christmas-goods exports, with emerging markets providing crucial support. The new Yiwu Global Digital Trade Center is also drawing overseas buyers with smart products such as AI glasses and recording cards.
As the world's largest small-commodity distribution center, Yiwu continues to channel vast volumes of consumer goods to markets across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas, serving as a weathervane for global small-commodity demand.
