China's AI terminals are moving from novelty to mainstream. At the recent press cycle, officials said more than 100 AI terminal products now meet the L3 auxiliary-level capability requirement under the newly built national grading standards, spanning phones, computers, televisions, glasses, vehicle cockpits and earphones.
In the third quarter alone, more than 20 AI phones and computers were released, with flagship products already capable of on-device autonomous task execution. The grading system — covering smartphones, PCs, TVs and glasses so far — gives consumers and enterprises a clear benchmark for what "intelligent" actually means.
The volume tells the story: in the first half of 2026, shipments of various intelligent terminals exceeded 100 million units, reflecting both supply-side maturity and demand-side uptake as AI features become a default rather than a premium differentiator.
The trend is being reinforced by policy that couples "AI + manufacturing" with trade-in programs to accelerate the普及 of AI computers and phones, while pushing brain-computer interfaces and embodied intelligence toward iterative breakthroughs.
