JAC EZ6 Pure Electric Light Truck Goes Global with 39 Industry-Leading Innovations

2026-08-11 Xinhua News AgencyCommercial Vehicle Reporter10

JAC Motors launched the EZ6 pure electric light truck globally on August 7 in Hefei, featuring 39 industry-leading innovations and CATL batteries. The vehicle targets cold chain, express delivery, and urban logistics scenarios.

On August 7, JAC Motors held the global launch of its EZ6 pure electric light truck and the 2026 Commercial Vehicle User Conference in Hefei, Anhui Province. The event marked a significant step in the commercial NEV sector's shift toward scenario-specific electrification.

The EZ6 is built around 39 industry-leading innovative technologies and 10 youth-oriented customization designs, targeting real-world operational scenarios including cold chain logistics, express delivery, supermarket distribution, and municipal engineering. The truck is equipped with CATL batteries in 100/120/140 kWh configurations and a Bosch second-generation flat-wire motor, delivering a peak power of 200 kW and 450 Nm of torque.

Real-world testing shows a comprehensive range of 413 km, addressing one of the key concerns for commercial fleet operators. The vehicle's 2C fast-charging capability significantly reduces downtime, while JAC estimates annual fuel savings of approximately 90,000 yuan compared to equivalent diesel trucks.

The launch event combined a product unveiling with a user conference, a format that JAC's leadership described as reflecting their customer-centric philosophy. The company emphasized that the EZ6 is designed not just as a vehicle but as a wealth-creation tool for logistics operators, with the core proposition of 'making wealth creation easier.'

The commercial NEV sector is increasingly seen as the next frontier of electrification, with light trucks playing a critical role in urban logistics. JAC's EZ6 launch signals that Chinese manufacturers are now applying the same innovation intensity to commercial vehicles that has driven passenger NEV growth.
