On September 19, Dongfeng Forthing launched the Star V6, a pure-electric six-seat family SUV positioned in the ~100,000-yuan segment, with four variants priced from 89,900 to 124,900 yuan; a super trade-in price starting at 99,900 yuan was offered during the launch event.
As the first large six-seat SUV co-developed by Dongfeng Forthing and Huawei, its headline feature is bringing Huawei's Qiankun ADS SE intelligent driving down into the sub-100,000-yuan range for the first time. The system uses a 25-sensor suite (10 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, 3 millimeter-wave radars) enabling highway navigation assist, urban lane-cruise assist and smart memory parking—premium autonomy no longer reserved for models above 200,000 yuan.
The Star V6 rides on a 2,900 mm wheelbase with a true 2+2+2 layout and a下沉 (sink-down) third row; with the third row stowed, cargo space expands to 1,630 liters. Dongfeng Liuzhou held its autumn launch on September 19 under the theme "Chenglong with Star V6, toward a new future," with January–August sales up 26% to 89,439 units, outpacing the industry.
