Meta has released Muse, a personal AI agent that can perform real-world tasks on a user's behalf, such as sending email, booking travel and shopping online. Initially available to US users, Muse offers a free tier and monthly subscriptions at $20 and $100. It runs on a dedicated 'cloud computer' with multiple layers of protection, marking a shift in the global AI race from conversational interaction toward autonomous completion of real-world tasks. Google, OpenAI and Anthropic are also expanding in the agent space.
