BEIJING, Aug. 2026 - According to China Post Securities research, ByteDance's 2026 capital expenditure is initially planned at approximately 160 billion yuan, higher than the 150 billion yuan in 2025, of which the AI chip budget is approximately 85 billion yuan, and it has already placed test orders for 20,000 H200 chips.
Alibaba has clearly positioned AI as its future priority, planning to invest more than 380 billion yuan in technology R&D and infrastructure over the next three years. China Merchants Bank Research's mid-2026 research report directly stated: it is expected that in 2026, internet enterprises, third-party AIDC operators, and telecom operators will jointly drive explosive growth in the AI computing power market.
The 2026 game industry AI report shows that 56% of the top 50 Chinese game revenue enterprises have publicly established AI laboratories or special teams. Among AI enterprise investments by these top 50 game companies, the underlying technology directions such as base models and MaaS, computing power and AI infrastructure, and multimodal content generation together account for over 30%.
In the first half of 2026, 15% of the top 100 mobile games by revenue integrated AI-related gameplay features, with AI-product-integrated revenue accounting for 42.6%. Gartner's latest global technology spending forecast report pointed out that global AI total spending in 2026 reached $2.52 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 44%.
