The 2026 15th China Intelligent Industry Summit opened on September 7, 2026, in Shenzhen, hosted by the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI) under the theme "Intelligence Leading Pengcheng, Industry Opening a New Chapter."
The summit brought together policymakers, academics, and industry leaders to discuss the paradigm shift in AI-enabled high-quality industrial development. Dai Qionghai, Chairman of CAAI and Dean of the Tsinghua University School of Information Science and Technology, said AI is accelerating from technological breakthroughs to industrial integration, and from the digital world to the physical world.
According to official data, by the end of June 2026, China's intelligent computing capacity reached 2185 EFLOPS, with more than 70 computing corridors built around the network and domestic open-source models becoming the choice of more global users. AI has penetrated the full chain of R&D, manufacturing, quality inspection and operations.
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said China will, during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, continue to use applications as a driver to lead AI technology innovation and industrial development.
