Citing CAAM data, a September 6, 2026 report says China's automobile exports exceeded 6 million units in the first seven months, up more than 50% year on year, as the going-global momentum stays strong.
Hunan province stood out, with auto exports reaching 193,000 units in the first seven months, up 61.3% to a record high. Exports to ASEAN led the destinations, while shipments to Russia and Belarus grew more than 1.6-fold, illustrating a shift from simply 'selling products' to 'global operation.'
The trend underscores that auto export growth is broadening beyond the coastal leaders to inland manufacturing provinces, with diversified regional markets - ASEAN, Russia-Belarus and others - cushioning external volatility.
