Chinese EV manufacturer BYD has commissioned its 10,000th flash-charging station in Shenzhen, doubling its ultra-fast charging network since April 2026. The company targets 20,000 operational sites by the end of the year. BYD's flash-charging technology enables significantly faster charging times compared to conventional DC fast chargers, addressing one of the primary concerns for EV adoption. The expansion is part of BYD's broader strategy to build out charging infrastructure to support its rapidly growing global EV sales.
