On the 25th, the standing high jump final of the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games was held at the "Ice Ribbon" in Beijing, with competing robots challenging their limit heights. What tests does this event pose for robots?

Du Zhengpu, CMG reporter:

"I am now at the venue of the standing high jump final of the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games. Behind me, the competing robots will complete the standing high jump challenge one by one. This competition is a real test of the robot's leg power output, balance control and landing cushioning. Every takeoff, flight and landing places extremely high demands on the whole machine's athletic performance."

Under the rules, robots must complete three attempts within 10 minutes, with the best result counting.

The competition area is 3 meters by 3 meters; robots must take off from a standing position with both feet and land stably within the area for the jump to be valid.

Results are measured by the vertical distance from the ground to the lowest part of the body at the highest point of the jump; flips are prohibited.

Professional cameras around the field capture the high-jump data in real time.

Nearly 20 robots entered the final. After fierce competition, the robot of the Tianzhuo team from the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center jumped 3.4 meters to take the championship.

Participants said this competition sets higher demands on robots' lower-limb strength and balance algorithms, and they hope the event will expand the application boundaries of humanoid robots in real-world scenarios.
