Anthropic has launched Claude Academy, a free online learning platform offering courses and tutorials on artificial intelligence. The platform is open to anyone, from complete beginners exploring what AI is to experienced users who already rely on Claude daily.
Content is structured as multiple learning paths to match users at different skill levels. Claude Academy is accessible at no cost with no registration barrier, making it broadly available to the public.
The launch reflects a broader industry trend of AI companies investing in education and accessibility. By removing financial and registration barriers, Anthropic aims to expand public understanding of AI tools and their applications.
The initiative comes amid a wave of AI education efforts. Google separately announced that eligible college students can receive a free one-year subscription to its Gemini AI plans, with US students eligible for Google AI Pro at no cost while students in more than 140 countries can access Google AI Plus for free.
These programs represent a broad international rollout targeting the student segment during the back-to-school season, signaling that leading AI companies view education as a key channel for long-term adoption.
