Anthropic has released Claude Haiku 5.5, its cheapest model yet, and the pricing is the headline: $0.10 per million input tokens with a full one-million-token context window.
The price-to-context ratio resets expectations for the market. A one-million-token context at that price point removes one of the biggest cost objections for developers running workflows involving long documents, codebases or multi-step agent tasks.
On the OSWorld benchmark, which measures how well an AI system can operate desktop software autonomously, Haiku 5.5 scores 72.4 percent, a strong result for a model in its size and price class. Output token pricing has not yet been disclosed.
The move signals that Anthropic is aiming to make capable agentic AI accessible at scale rather than reserving it for flagship models. For high-volume, cost-sensitive developers, the new pricing floor could make Haiku the default choice for building agent workflows.
