At its Thai factory, BYD celebrated the roll-off of its 100,000th new-energy vehicle, a BYD ATTO 3 — the very model that launched the brand's presence in the Thai market and has since anchored its local production journey.
The milestone reflects BYD's deepening localized manufacturing in Southeast Asia, where the ATTO 3 has become a best-seller and the company has built a full chain spanning imports, local assembly and now mass local production.
It highlights how Chinese NEV makers are shifting from pure vehicle exports to in-region manufacturing and ecosystem globalization, buffering against overseas trade barriers while serving local demand more directly.
