Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang said on September 18 that the company expects its chip sales next year to be about double this year's level, as AI adoption accelerates across industries. 'I expect Nvidia to sell twice as many chips next year as this year, because AI is bringing enormous value to different industries and economies,' Huang said at an artificial intelligence summit in the UK.
'You can see in almost every country where we do business, people want to invest in AI.' Nvidia has not publicly disclosed its total chip sales volume. Its most famous products are data-center GPUs including the Blackwell and Rubin series; Huang previously revealed that the company had shipped six million Blackwell GPUs over the past four quarters.
Nvidia also produces CPUs, switch chips, optical networking chips, laptop processors, Jetson chips for robotics and automotive applications, and the main chip inside the Nintendo Switch 2. The company has previously forecast revenue growth of about 70% for the fiscal year ending January 2028, with revenue of roughly $673 billion.
Huang also stressed that AI safety is critical, saying developers must test AI systems rigorously and hold back products that are not safe enough.
