BYD released its 2026 half-year results on the evening of August 28, 2026, posting record revenue of 344.815 billion yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of 12.325 billion yuan, while research and development spending reached 28.861 billion yuan.
In the first half of 2026, BYD sold 1.8085 million new energy vehicles. Its overseas sales reached 789,000 units, reflecting the continued strength of its global expansion. Sales of the group's premium brands, including Yangwang, Fangchengbao and Denza, totaled 228,000 units, up 61% year on year.
On August 28, BYD also opened its 10,000th flash charging station, covering 332 cities nationwide, as part of a network that supports megawatt-level superfast charging. Under its "Flash Charging China" plan, the company is also deploying around 6,000 flash charging stations overseas.
