Xinhua Daily Telegraph reported on August 31, 2026 that Yiwu Port has launched a new-generation integrated clearance platform, a major upgrade to the digital infrastructure supporting the world's largest small-commodity market.
The platform enables second-level intelligent inspection and release of containers at the gate, using automated systems to verify data such as customs declarations, container numbers and seal numbers in real time. Manual sealing time has been reduced by about 75%, sharply accelerating the flow of export containers through the port.
Officials said the platform integrates customs, port, logistics and business data into a single pipeline, reducing paperwork and waiting time for traders and forwarders. The efficiency gains are expected to further strengthen Yiwu's competitiveness as a global sourcing and export gateway.
