MAN Truck & Bus published a life cycle assessment conducted by the University of Bayreuth and validated by DEKRA, showing that its remanufactured D2842 rail engine emits 72% fewer CO2 equivalents than a newly built engine. The study followed DIN EN ISO 14040/14044 standards and applies to the D2842 LE622 model.
