Sichuan Province's market regulation and housing and urban-rural development authorities have jointly published five typical cases in the property-management sector, part of a campaign to rectify misconduct and corruption affecting ordinary residents.
One property developer in the province delayed fulfilling its legal quality-warranty obligations at a residential compound in Shuangliu District. On January 31, 2024, the Chengdu Shuangliu District comprehensive administrative law enforcement bureau received complaints that the company had failed to perform its statutory quality-warranty duties. Since January 2023, multiple homeowners had complained about housing quality problems, but the company kept delaying repairs citing financial difficulties. The conduct violated Article 85, Paragraph 1 of the Sichuan Provincial Property Management Regulations, and the company was fined 180,000 yuan.
