BYD's dedicated fleet of eight vehicle carriers is operating less like a series of one-way export waves and more like a permanently rotating logistics system, according to vessel-tracking analysis. AIS data showed ships simultaneously leaving China, crossing toward Europe and the Middle East, returning from overseas, and starting new outbound voyages. The BYD Shenzhen completed a Europe deployment and turned back toward Asia, while the BYD Jinan and BYD Xi'an moved in opposite directions around the Red Sea corridor. Analysts say the factory-controlled fleet lets BYD reposition vessels to its own production and export timetable rather than relying on third-party lines.
