BELGRADE, Aug 20 (Xinhua) -- Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on the evening of the 20th local time in an interview with Serbian Radio and Television that the country's parliamentary election will be held on Oct 18 or 25, with the final date to be set in the coming days.
Earlier, on the 14th, Vucic said at an event that Serbia might hold a parliamentary election in October or November this year.
In June, Vucic said he would resign as president. In July, he said that after stepping down he would seek to become prime minister.
Vucic was elected president of Serbia in April 2017 and won re-election in May 2022.
