NIO Celebrates 4,000th Battery Swap Station with 5th Generation Launch

On August 7, 2026, NIO reached a significant milestone with the opening of its 4,000th battery swap station in Quanzhou, Fujian Province. The 5th generation battery swap station was also launched simultaneously, with initial stations opening in seven cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou, Hefei, Chengdu, and Quanzhou. The new generation station features a fully self-developed core swapping platform that can dynamically adjust to different vehicle chassis and battery pack sizes. With a maximum wheelbase adaptability of 3.5 meters, it covers all vehicle sizes from compact cars to large SUVs, supporting NIO, ONVO, and Firefly brands.
