Tesla Model 3 led Spain's electric vehicle market in July 2026 with 5,770 registrations, followed by the Tesla Model Y at 3,633, according to Motor.es data published August 5. The BYD Dolphin Surf (a compact hatchback) debuted in third with 3,328 units on aggressive pricing. Kia's EV3 took fourth (2,866) and Toyota's C-HR+ fifth (2,630). Chinese brands showed strong momentum: BYD placed three nameplates in the top 20, while Leapmotor's B10 (1,506) neared the top 10 and XPeng's G6 sold 1,232. The best-selling domestically built EV was the Cupra Raval (938), produced at SEAT's Martorell plant near Barcelona. Tesla's two models combined for 9,403 units, underscoring its continued lead even as competition intensifies.
